On September 25, the 8th National Restaurant Skills Competition of Zhejiang Section and Cooking Competition of Yangtze River Delta Food Culture Week, hosted by Zhejiang Catering Industry Association and Wenzhou Hotel and Catering Industry Association, was held in Wenzhou. A total of 190 contestants from 11 prefectures and cities across the Zhejiang Province competed in four events, including carving, cold dishes, hot dishes and pastry, which were covered by the two professional types of Chinese cook and pastry. There are teaching staff group and student group in this competition.
After two weeks of intensive training, the team of the Culinary Arts Department won 7 gold, 2 silver, 3 bronze and 1 excellent award with winning rate more than 50%. At the same time, the team won the Excellent Organization Award with good presentation and perfect cooperation. It is reported that the gold medal winners will represent Zhejiang Province in the national finals, which will be held in early December.
